On Thursday we begin the five-week writing rotation for Media Storytelling. We’ll focus on a number of areas related to legacy media and online media.
By 6 p.m. next Thursday, Nov. 10, you’ll have two assignments to complete.
— The first of four discussion questions, which will be posted to our course listing on Canvas Friday morning. Your reply is worth 10 points.
— The creation of your blog, using WordPress, Wix or another free platform of your choosing. Your blog should have the following features.
- An About page, that discusses your major, your internships, your work experience (if applicable to your major), your plans after college and the type of news your blog features.
- A Contact page, that has your name and email address, as well as any other social media/web links you wish to include.
- Your first post: A brief welcome message with a headline that introduces readers to your blog and gives them a preview of what they can expect to see from you in the coming weeks.
The creation of your blog is worth 50 points. Please remember to email your blog link to wtownley@unomaha.edu before class next Thursday. I will add them to the Blogs page, which appears in the site navigation above.
